“Music is a higher revelation than all
wisdom and philosphy”
Jake Valentine is an American singer-songwriter from New Jersey. The gift of music was passed on to him from his father. Jake began playing guitar when he was nine years old, performing in his father’s groups throughout his adolescence. Influenced by a variety of guitarists including Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robben Ford, Darrel “Dimebag” Abbott, and Steve Vai, his vocal experience began years later; evolving steadily from informal to formal training.
From 2004-2008 he was the lead guitarist and major creative influence in a band called “Ashes Rising”, and before the age of 18 performed at venues such as Webster Hall in NYC.
Jake continued to expand his repertoire through various projects and tremendous devotion to musical study; including time at William Paterson University for classical guitar. Through private study, Jake eventually applied and was ultimately accepted to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
Deciding not to attend Berklee, Jake instead began pursuing a solo career in 2014. Since then he has been providing a consistent stream of recorded works accompanied by music videos; all of which were written, recorded, filmed and edited by him.
